We believe that in order to ensure that future generations progress we must first teach our young to acquire moral values and to respect their common cultural and social customs. We motivate our youth to gain knowledge, skill and the attitude needed for survival and development and to use this wisdom throughout life to encourage future generations to continue in the fight for progress and harmony.

The project takes its origin from realizing that most of the organizations supporting youngsters in Cambodia, use almost the totality of their resources in targeting (through the creation of orphanages, schools, hospitals, etc.) boys and girls aged 0 to 16 years old without providing adequate exit strategies and follow-up to them once they reach the age limit foreseen in the intervention.

Una Goccia per il Mondo wanted to do something for underprivileged boys (orphans, poverty-stricken, illiterates, etc.) aged 16 to 22 years old and after careful consideration decided to build the Crafts House, a Vocational Training facility where students can be trained as skilled workers in the following fields: welding, electrical systems, plumbing, building trade.

Where are we now?

Our funding has been severely hit from the world economic crisis but we managed to complete the construction of the building and we are currently purchasing the furnishing and technical equipment needed. We plan to start the first two training courses by October 2010. We welcome any kind of support you can give us whether in kind, time, ideas or work.
